Note: Players familiar with the Assassination spec will notice Vendetta is not among the available talents or level-learned abilities. Some of them have been modified or reimagined to fit in the new framework, and even beyond that there are a handful of brand new talents to explore that further emphasize an aspect of each Rogue spec’s fantasy and gameplay. To that end, there are many familiar current and historic Rogue abilities and effects returning as available options, sourced from former talents, legendaries, conduits, Azerite, and more. With all of that in mind, we’re excited to dive into this preview of the Rogue talents with you! There are tons of combinations of abilities and effects that were previously not possible, both by making some former spec-only abilities available to all Rogues in the core class tree and by providing more opportunity for specialization within any given Rogue spec. The Dragonflight talent update provides a foundation upon which we can reimagine what options are available to players that define the fantasy for any class and spec, with a goal that it will result in variable gameplay that players can customize to match their preferences and activities as they adventure throughout Azeroth. These and all the other trees still have a lot of work to be done, but we want to share what we can to start collecting detailed feedback at this early stage. In this preview, we take a first look at the prototype trees for the Hunter and Rogue classes. Dragonflight contains major updates to World of Warcraft classes, centering on the re-introduction of talent trees.
